Kids at Calasanz' Preschool are developing a project this year, it is called "Earth Friends" and this term, they are helping our planet with a COMPOSTING activity.
They shared some information about it, they did it with mini books, posters, mockups and other handcraft works they developed with their parents.
Composting has many benefits for our environment, some of them are: reduces the need for chemical fertilizers enriches soil, helping retain moisture and suppress plant diseases and pests. At home you can make a compost pile near to a water source, add brown and green materials, mix grass clippings and green waste into the pile and bury fruit and vegetable waste, finally when the material at the bottom is dark and rich in color, your compost is ready to use.
